ജർമ്മനിയിൽ മലയാളികൾക്കും ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ 
നിമിഷങ്ങൾ !

മലയാളികൾക്ക് ജർമ്മനിയിൽ പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താവുന്ന രണ്ടാമത്തെ കഴിവ്, തങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളുടെ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും വിധം ഓരോരോ സംഘടനകൾ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ നടത്തുക, അതിലൂടെ സംഘടനകളുടെ സംഘാടകനെന്ന പേര് സ്വീകരിക്കുക, തങ്ങളുടെ അതാത് സമാജാവേദികളിൽ കയറിപ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുക എന്ന നിലയ്ക്കുള്ളതായിരുന്നു. അത്തരം കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കി മലയാളികളുടെ സമൂഹത്തിൽ സംഘടനയും സമ്മേളനങ്ങളും നടക്കുമ്പോൾ കലാപരിപാടികൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ തക്ക മികവുറ്റ കഴിവുള്ളവരെ പങ്കെടുപ്പിച്ചു ആഘോഷിക്കുവാൻ വളരെ വലിയ ആവേശത്തോടെ നല്ല ശ്രമങ്ങളും നടന്നിരുന്നു. സംഘടനാനടപടികളിൽ എന്റെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യം കൊണ്ട് എന്തെങ്കിലും ജോലി എനിക്ക് ചെയ്യാനുണ്ടെന്ന് അത്തരം അവസരങ്ങളിൽ എനിക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും തോന്നിയിരുന്നില്ല. എന്നാൽ അതിലധികമായി ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചുമില്ല. അതിനാൽ കുറെ വർഷങ്ങളായി ഹൈഡൽബെർഗ്ഗിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്ന മലയാളികളുടെ സമാജങ്ങളിലും അംഗമായിരുന്നില്ല.

ലോകമെമ്പാടും മലയാളികൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന അനേകം സമാജങ്ങളെന്നോ സംഘടനകൾ എന്നോ പേരിലുള്ള പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഏതെങ്കിലും ക്രിയാത്മക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള  പദ്ധതികളോ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങളോ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കിയുള്ളതല്ല. അപ്രകാരമുള്ളതായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ജീവിക്കാൻ തൊഴിൽതേടി മറുനാട്ടിലെത്തുന്നതിനുമുമ്പേ അവരെയൊക്കെ "പ്രവാസി"കളെന്ന പേര് നൽകി അവരുടെ മാതൃരാജ്യത്തിലെ മൗലീക അവകാശങ്ങൾ കേരള സർക്കാർ ഇല്ലെന്നാക്കുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു. എന്തിനും ഏതിനും പ്രവാസിമലയാളികളെ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്യാൻ വേണ്ടി മന്ത്രിമാരും ജനപ്രതിനിധികളെന്ന രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരും ലോകമെമ്പാടും സ്വീകരണങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി നികുതിപ്പണം ചെലവാക്കി കറങ്ങി യാത്രചെയ്യുന്നു.!! 

ജർമ്മനിയിലെ ഹൈഡൽബർഗിൽ എനിക്ക് ചില പ്രത്യേക അനുഭവങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി. അതിൽ ഒന്നു രണ്ടു കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ എനിക്ക് ഒരു പക്ഷെ അവയോട് ചില പ്രത്യേകാഭിരുചിയുണ്ടെന്നും തോന്നിയിരുന്നു. അത്കൊണ്ട് പുതിയ  ഒരു മലയാളി സംഘടനയിൽ ഞാൻ സജ്ജീവമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കണമെന്നു തോന്നുകയും ചെയ്തു. ജർമ്മനിയിൽ ബാഡൻ വ്യുർട്ടംബർഗ് സംസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ജോലിചെയ്തിരുന്ന മലയാളിനഴ്‌സുമാരുടെ തൊഴിൽ പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലും, കോട്ടയത്തെ ഗാന്ധി സർവ്വകലാശാലയും ജർമ്മനിയിലെ ഹൈഡൽബെർഗ് Karl- Ruprecht എലൈറ്റ് സർവ്വകലാശാലയും തമ്മിലുള്ള പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിനു വേണ്ടി ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്ന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും അതുപോലെ സീറോ മലബാർ റീത്തുപ്രകാരം മലയാള ഭാഷയിലുള്ള കുർബാന നടത്തുവാനുള്ള ജർമ്മൻ ലത്തീൻസഭാ മെത്രാന്റെ അനുവാദത്തിനും മറ്റുമുള്ള എന്റെ ശ്രമങ്ങൾ ചില സംഘടനാ പ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടെന്നാണ് എനിക്ക് കാണാനും കഴിഞ്ഞത്. അങ്ങനെ, സംഘടനാ പ്രവർത്തകർ അവരുടെ പ്രവർത്തന കാര്യയോഗങ്ങളിൽ സംബന്ധിക്കുവാൻ എന്നെയും ക്ഷണിച്ചു.  ഞാൻ കേരളാ- ജർമ്മൻ കൾച്ചറൽ ഫോറം എന്ന പുതിയ പേരിൽ തുടങ്ങിയ ഒരു സംഘടനയിൽ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയെന്ന നിലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കണമെന്ന ആശയം ഉണ്ടായി. 

കാലക്രമത്തിൽ ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് ബോദ്ധ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ജർമ്മനിയിൽ  മലയാളികളുടെ മനസ്സ് ഓരോരോ സംഘടനകൾ കൊണ്ട് നിറയുന്നതല്ലാതെ, അവരുടെ സ്വന്തം സാമൂഹിക സാംസ്കാരിക വളർച്ചയിൽ, മലയാളികളുടെ കേരളാ- ജർമ്മൻ സമ്പർക്കവും സ്വാധീനവും കൊണ്ട് മാത്രം ഏറെയൊന്നും നേടാനായിട്ടില്ല എന്നതായിരുന്നു ദീർഘകാലത്തെ  അനുഭവ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം. സമാജങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള  ഓരോ  പ്രായോഗിക

കാര്യങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള  തുറന്ന യാഥാർത്ഥ്യങ്ങൾ, അതെങ്ങനെയാണെന്ന് പറയാൻ വളരെ പ്രയാസവുമാണ്. ഞാനെഴുതുന്നത് എന്റെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ അഭിപ്രായമാണ്. 

ഏതെങ്കിലുമൊരു സംഘടനയുടെ ധാർമ്മികമായ വളർച്ചയുടെ  എത്ര വലിയ ഉയർച്ചയുടെയും അങ്ങേയറ്റത്തെത്തുവാൻ വേണ്ടത് എന്തായിരിക്കണം? അതിനോടുള്ള തികഞ്ഞ ആത്മാർത്ഥതയും കഠിനാദ്ധ്വാനത്തിന്റെ ഫലവുമായിരിക്കണം. സംഘടന  സ്ഥാപിക്കുവാൻ ഞാനുൾപ്പടെ ചിലർ തുടങ്ങിയെങ്കിലും കുറഞ്ഞൊരു നാളുകൾ മാത്രമേ എനിക്ക് അതിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടുവെന്നുള്ളത് എന്നെ ഒരിക്കലും വേദനിപ്പിച്ചില്ല. ഈ സംഘടനയുടെ പ്രവർത്തനം കുറെ നാളുകൾ ഉണ്ടായി. അനുഭവം കൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞത്, മനുഷ്യൻ ഓരോ പദ്ധതി ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്യുകയും ദൈവം അത് ഇളക്കി മറിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നാണ്. ലോകമെമ്പാടും മലയാളികളുടെ ഓരോ സമാജങ്ങൾ  ഓരോ വർഷത്തിന്റെയും  പല ഘട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ചിലരുടെ കലാ-സാംസ്കാരിക മതാചാര വേദികൾക്ക് ഇണങ്ങിയ സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കിയിട്ട് സമ്മേളിക്കുന്നത് സാധാരണ പതിവായിരുന്നു. ഒരുമിച്ചു  പരിചിതരുമായി അന്യോന്യം സുഖദുഃഖങ്ങൾ പങ്കിടുവാനും സമാജങ്ങൾ ഉപകരിച്ചിരിക്കാം. എന്നാൽ അതിനപ്പുറം ഒരു മാനുഷികമായ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏതെങ്കിലും സാമൂഹ്യസേവനത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമായി വികസിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ ഒരു മലയാളി സമാജങ്ങൾക്കോ അതുപോലെ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ സഭകളുടെ പ്രതിനിധികൾക്കോ മലയാളികളായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കോ  ഇന്നുവരെ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തോട് യോജിക്കാത്തവരും ഉണ്ടാകാം.

ജീവസ്സുറ്റതും വർണ്ണോജ്വലവും അതിലേറെ മാതൃകാപരവുമായ ഒരു ഐക്യ  മാതൃകാ സമൂഹം നമുക്കുണ്ടാകണം എന്ന ആശയം  നാമെല്ലാവരും ഇന്നും എക്കാലവും ഉണർന്നു  ചിന്തിക്കേണ്ടതാണെന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. സാമൂഹ്യജീവിതത്തിൽ ഓരോ മനുഷ്യനും ഏതെങ്കിലും വിശ്വാസ മൂല്യങ്ങളിൽ കാത്തൂസൂക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഒരു മുസ്ലീമോ, ഹിന്ദുവോ, ക്രിസ്ത്യാനിയോ ആകട്ടെ, ഏതോ മതവിശ്വാസ സംവിധാനത്തിൽപ്പെട്ടവരായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നത് കാണാം. യൂറോപ്പിൽ ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികൾ ഉണ്ട്. അതുപോലെ മുസ്ലീമുകൾ, ഹിന്ദുക്കൾ, യഹൂദർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ മതങ്ങളിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ. ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളിൽ റോമൻ കത്തോലിക്കരും, പ്രൊട്ടസ്റ്റന്റ് വിഭാഗത്തിലെ ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളും ഉണ്ട്; മറ്റ് വിവിധ കത്തോലിക്കാ റീത്തുകളിൽപെട്ടവരും, പ്രൊട്ടസ്റ്റന്റ് വിഭാഗത്തിലുമുള്ള ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികളും ഉണ്ട്. ജർമ്മനിയിൽ കത്തോലിക്കർ ലത്തീൻ റീത്ത് പള്ളികളിൽ പോകുന്നു. ജർമ്മനിയിലുള്ള മലയാളികളിൽ ഏറെയും കേരളത്തിന്റെ മുൻകാല പാരമ്പര്യത്തിലുള്ള സീറോമലബാർ റീത്തിൽപ്പെട്ടവരും കുറേപ്പേർ ലത്തീൻവിഭാഗത്തിലും, ചിലർ ക്‌നാനായ വിഭാഗത്തിലും, സി. എസ്. ഐ, മറ്റുചിലർ യാക്കോബായ സഭയിലുമുള്ളവർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിഭാഗങ്ങളിൽപെടുന്നവരാണ്. ഇവരെല്ലാം ജർമ്മനിയിലെ ലത്തീൻ പള്ളികളിലേക്കാണ് പോകുന്നത് എന്ന് കാണാം. 

ജർമ്മനിയിലാകട്ടെ സീറോമലബാർ രൂപതകളോ ഇടവകകളോ ഇതുവരെ ഇല്ല. കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നും ജർമ്മനിയിലെത്തി ജോലിചെയ്യുന്ന സീറോ-മലബാർ റീത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട പുരോഹിതരാകട്ടെ ലത്തീൻ റീത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ജർമ്മൻ രൂപതകൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നവരാണ്. അവരാകട്ടെ കേരളത്തിൽ ലത്തീൻ റീത്തുകാരെയും മാർപാപ്പയുടെ അധികാരത്തെയും പോലും ഏറെ വെറുത്തു സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരുമാകാം. അക്കാര്യത്തിലും മലയാളികളുടെ സംഘടനകളിലുള്ള തീക്ഷ്ണതപോലെ അവരുടെ മനസ്സിലിരിപ്പ് മറ്റൊന്നാണ്. സീറോമലബാർ റീത്തിലെ വി. കുർബാന മലയാളത്തിൽ അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനു അനുവാദം സംബന്ധിച്ച് നടന്ന ചർച്ചയിൽ ഇന്നുള്ള കർദ്ദിനാൾ സോളിച്ച് ഒരു കാര്യം അന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു:  ജർമ്മനിയിൽ ഒരു സീറോ മലബാറിന്റെ രൂപതയോ ഇടവകകളോ  അനുവദിക്കുകയില്ലെന്നും, വൈദികരെ നിങ്ങൾ സ്വയം ഏർപ്പാട് ചെയ്യണമെന്നും,  വി. കുർബാനകൾക്കായി ജർമ്മൻ രൂപതകളിലെ പള്ളികൾ അനുവദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും ആണ് എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്.. 

ഇന്നും അപ്രകാരം തുടരുന്നു. യൂറോപ്പിൽ മലയാളികൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന മെത്രാന്മാർ പ്രവർത്തനശൈലിയിൽ കേരളത്തിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ജനപ്രതിനിധികളുടെ സമാനമായ പ്രവർത്തനശൈലിയാണവർ അവിടെ അനുവർത്തിക്കുന്നതെന്ന കാര്യം പറയാതെ പോകുന്നത് ശരിയല്ല. ഉദാ: വത്തിക്കാനിൽ, ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിൽ, അമേരിക്കയിൽ, എന്നുവേണ്ട എവിടെയെല്ലാം സീറോ മലബാർ സഭാ മെത്രാന്മാർ ഉണ്ടോ അവിടെയെല്ലാം സഭാംഗങ്ങളുടെ ഉയർച്ചയല്ല, സ്വന്തം ഉയർച്ചയ്ക്കും അവരുടെ രാജകീയ ചിന്താഗതിയിലുള്ള സ്വേച്ഛാധിപത്യരീതിയ്ക്കും സ്വകീയമായ കീർത്തിക്കുംവേണ്ടി മാത്രമാണ് നിലകൊള്ളുന്നത്. സീറോമലബാർ സഭയാണോ റോമിലെ മാർപാപ്പയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയാണോ വലുത് എന്ന മേൽക്കോയ്‌മ വെല്ലുവിളിയാണ് കാണാനുള്ളത്. മലയാളികൾ സമ്മേളിക്കുന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിൽ ഇവരുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യവും ഇടപെടലുകളും പഴയകാല മെത്രാന്മാരുടെ ഏതോ കോൺസർവേറ്റിവ് ചിന്താഗതിയിലേയ്ക്ക് മാറുകയാണ്. എവിടെയും പതിവ് പണപ്പിരിവും അതിനുവേണ്ടി അവരെല്ലാം നടത്തുന്ന സമ്മർദ്ദതന്ത്രങ്ങളും വിദേശങ്ങളിൽ അടുത്ത കാലത്തായി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നുണ്ട് .

1990 കൾ കഴിഞ്ഞതോടെ ജർമ്മനിയിൽ മലയാളികൾ എല്ലാ വർഷങ്ങളും തുടർച്ചയായി മലയാളികളുടെ കേരളമേളയുടെ ആഘോഷങ്ങളും, കേരള ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലുള്ള മലയാളികൾ അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസക്രമത്തിൽ സമ്മേളനങ്ങളും ലിറ്റർജി ചടങ്ങുകളും മുടക്കം കൂടാതെ നടത്തിവരുന്നുണ്ട്. മലയാളികൾ കേരളത്തിന്റെ വികസനകാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ഏറെ നിരീക്ഷണം ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. അതിനു ഉദാഹരണമാണ്, കേരളത്തിലെ എല്ലാ നഗര- ഗ്രാമീണ റോഡുകൾ നവീകരിക്കുക, റോഡ് ഗതാഗത വ്യവസ്ഥകളും നിയമങ്ങളും കർശനമായി പാലിക്കുവാൻ നടപടി ഉണ്ടാകണമെന്നുള്ള നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ ജർമ്മൻ മലയാളിസമൂഹം കേരള സർക്കാരിനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. അത് പോലെ തന്നെ കേരളത്തിൽ അനാവശ്യമായി എന്തിനും ഏതിനും ഓരോ ബന്ദുകളും പണിമുടക്കുകളും നിരോധിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം മലയാളികൾ ഉന്നയിച്ചുതുടങ്ങിയിട്ട് നാളുകൾ ഏറെയായി. കാൽനടയാത്രക്കാർക്ക്പോലും നടക്കാനുള്ള പാർശ്വവഴി ഇല്ലാത്ത റോഡുകളാണ് ഇപ്പോഴും കേരളത്തിൽ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നത്. പുതിയ റോഡുകളിൽ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന വാഹനങ്ങൾ തട്ടി കാൽനടക്കാർ ദിവസവും മരണപ്പെടുന്ന വാർത്തയുണ്ട്.

ജർമ്മൻ മലയാളി സംഘടനകൾ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള പല നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങളും വിലയിരുത്തലകളും എല്ലാവർഷങ്ങളും സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന  മലയാളികളുടെ സമ്മേളനങ്ങളിലും കേരളസർക്കാറിനോടും ജർമ്മനിയിലെത്തുന്ന വിവിധ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിലെ ജനപ്രതിനിധികളോടും എക്കാലവും  നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള  വിഷയങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ, കേരളത്തിലെ  മന്ത്രിമാരും നിയമസഭാ-പാർലമെന്റ് അംഗങ്ങളുമൊക്കെ എത്രയോ തവണകൾ ജർമ്മനിയിൽ വന്നു സന്ദർശനം നടത്തി പോയിരിക്കുന്നു!. എന്നിട്ടും കേരളത്തിൽ ആവശ്യമായ എന്തെങ്കിലും മാറ്റങ്ങളോ യാതൊരു പുരോഗമനങ്ങളോ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല. മറുനാട്ടിലെ മലയാളിജീവിതം കണ്ടു മനസ്സിലാക്കിയെന്നു പറയുന്ന ഇവർ മലയാളികളുടെ ജന്മനാട്ടിൽ ലഭിക്കേണ്ട അവകാശങ്ങൾ ഹനിക്കുകയാണ്.

എല്ലാ വർഷങ്ങളും  മുടക്കമില്ലാതെ മലയാളികൾ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ജർമൻ മലയാളിസമ്മേളനങ്ങളിൽ കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നും അനേകം പ്രമുഖർ വരുന്നു. കലാ സാംസ്കാരിക- രാഷ്ട്രീയതലങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരും വിവിധ മതനേതൃത്വങ്ങളും വന്നു സംബന്ധിച്ച് സ്വീകരണം വാങ്ങി അവർ തിരിച്ചു പോയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേരളത്തിലെ സാഹിത്യകാരന്മാർ, മന്ത്രിമാർ, പ്രാദേശിക ജനപ്രതിനിധികൾ, സിനിമാതാരങ്ങൾ, മതാചാരസംരക്ഷകർ, തുടങ്ങിയ അനേകംപേർ അവരിൽപ്പെടും. ഇതിനെല്ലാം കാരണമായത്, മലയാളികൾ ഏതു രാജ്യത്തു പോയി വസിച്ചാലും അവരുടെ തനിമനിറഞ്ഞ സാംസ്കാരിക വിശ്വാസജീവിത ശൈലി തീരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാത്തവരായതിനാൽ തങ്ങളുടെ മാതൃരാജ്യ ജീവിതവഴികളെയും പരിപാലിക്കുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ വിശ്വാസജീവിതവഴികളെയോ കലാ സാംസ്കാരിക വളർച്ചയുടെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങളോ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള സമ്മേളനങ്ങളിലേയ്ക്ക് പലപ്പോഴും കേരളത്തിലെ പൊതുവേദികളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പതിവുണ്ടായി. ജർമ്മനിയിൽ എല്ലാ വർഷങ്ങളിലും സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതായ കേരള മേളകൾ, അതുപോലെ ജർമ്മൻ മലയാളി സമാജങ്ങളുടെ പ്രത്യേക ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയ അവസരങ്ങളിൽ മത- രാഷ്ട്രീയ-സാംസ്കാരിക മണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ എത്തിച്ചേർന്നിരുന്നു.

ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നു 2003 ഡിസംബർ 28 ന്  കേരളാ- ജർമ്മൻ കൾച്ചറൽ ഫോറം എന്ന മലയാളി സംഘടനയും കൂടി ഹൈഡൽബർഗിൽ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്. എല്ലാ സംഘടനകളെയും പോലെ പ്രവർത്തനശൈലിയിൽ ഒരു പ്രത്യേകതകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായി എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയിരുന്നില്ല. പലപ്പോഴും സംഘടന പ്രവർത്തകർ ഒഴിവ് സമയങ്ങൾ പരസ്പരമുള്ള കൂടിച്ചേരലുകൾക്ക് അവസരമൊരുക്കി. മറുനാട്ടിലേയ്ക്ക് ജീവിതം പറിച്ചുനടപ്പെട്ട "മറുനാടൻ "മലയാളിയുടെ മനസ്സിലേയ്ക്ക് ജന്മനാടിന്റെ മധുരം പകർന്നുതരാൻ, മടി നിറയെ മധുരിക്കുന്ന ഓർമ്മകൾ പങ്കുവയ്ക്കാൻ, മലയാളത്തിന്റെ മഹാ ഹാസ്യസാഹിത്യ ചക്രവർത്തിയായിരുന്ന വേളൂർ കൃഷ്‍ണൻകുട്ടിയും, നാട്ടിൻപുറത്തിന്റെ ജീവന്റെ തുടിപ്പുള്ള കഥകൾ പറഞ്ഞു മലയാളിയെ ചിരിപ്പിച്ചുറക്കിയ ഹാസ്യകഥാ കാഥികനായിരുന്ന വി. ഡി. രാജപ്പൻ തുടങ്ങി കേരളത്തിന്റെ തിളങ്ങുന്ന പ്രതിഭകൾ എല്ലാവരും തന്നെ ജർമ്മനിയിൽ വന്നു. അതുപോലെ തന്നെ സിനിമാരംഗത്തു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധരായ സംവിധായകർ, സാഹിത്യകാരന്മാർ, പത്രപ്രവർത്തകർ, വിവിധ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികളുടെ നേതാക്കൾ, വിവിധ സമുദായ നേതാക്കൾ, മതനേതാക്കൾ തുടങ്ങിയവർ ജർമ്മൻ മലയാളികളുടെ ജീവിത വേദിക്ക് ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ നിറപ്പകിട്ടും പങ്കാളിത്തവും സൗഹൃദങ്ങളും പങ്കുവച്ചു കടന്നുപോയിരുന്നു. അവരിൽ പ്രമുഖരായിരുന്നു, കർദ്ദിനാൾ മാർ വർക്കി വിതയത്തിൽ, പ്രസിദ്ധ കവി K. സച്ചിതാനന്ദൻ, ഓ. എൻ. വി. കുറുപ്പ്, സാഹിത്യകാരൻ സക്കറിയ തുടങ്ങിയവരും മാത്രമല്ല, അന്തർദേശീയ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിനെത്തിയ മലയാള സിനിമാ രംഗത്തു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധരായ നിർമ്മാതാക്കൾ, കേരളത്തിലെ വിവിധ തരം ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെയും മെത്രാന്മാർ, സമുദായ-രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടി നേതൃത്വങ്ങൾ, മലയാളഭാഷാചരിത്രത്തിൽ ചരിത്രം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ഫ്രാങ്ക്ഫർട്ട് പുസ്തകമേളയും ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മഹത്തായ പങ്ക് വിജയിപ്പിക്കാൻ ജർമ്മനിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേർന്നിരുന്ന അനേകം പ്രമുഖർ,  അതുപോലെതന്നെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഹിന്ദുമതത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖരായിട്ടുള്ളവരിൽ  മുഖ്യനേതൃനിരയിൽ അറിയപ്പടുന്ന കേരളീയരിൽപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ അമൃതാനന്ദമയി തുടങ്ങിയവരും ജർമ്മൻമലയാളികളുടെ തൊഴിലധിഷ്ഠിത സാമൂഹ്യജീവിതത്തെപ്പറ്റി വളരെയടുത്തു മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ വിശിഷ്ഠ അതിഥികൾ  ആയിരുന്നു. ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങൾ സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള ചില വിശദമായ വിവരങ്ങൾ അടുത്ത കുറിപ്പിൽ പിന്നീട് വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌.  

അതുപോലെതന്നെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽനിന്നുള്ള ഹിന്ദുമതത്തിൽപ്പെട്ടവരിൽ ഏറെ   പ്രമുഖരായിട്ടുള്ളവരുടെ മുഖ്യനേതൃനിരയിൽ അറിയപ്പടുന്ന കേരളീയരുടെ പട്ടികയിലുള്ള മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയി ജർമ്മൻ ജനസമൂഹത്തിൽ വളരെ  വലിയ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയിരുന്നു. 2004- ഒക്ടോബർ മാസത്തിൽ ജർമ്മനിയിലെ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ സർവ്വകലാശാലാ നഗരമെന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഹൈഡൽബെർഗ്ഗ് നഗരത്തിനു തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ള മാൻഹൈമിൽ അമൃതാനന്ദമയിയുടെ ജർമ്മൻ അനുയായികൾ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ഒരു പ്രാർത്ഥനായോഗത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ എത്തിയ മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയി മലയാളികളെക്കുറിച്ചു അന്വേഷിച്ചതായി എനിക്ക് യോഗ സംഘാടകരിൽ നിന്നും അറിവ് ലഭിച്ചു. ഞാൻ അക്കാലത്ത്  കേരള- ജർമ്മൻ കൾച്ചറൽ ഫോറത്തിന്റെ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയായിട്ടാണ്  പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. മലയാളികളുടെ ഒരു ജർമ്മൻ സംഘടനാപ്രതിനിധിയായ ഞാനുമായി കണ്ടു സംസാരിക്കുവാൻ അവർക്ക് താല്പര്യമുണ്ടെന്നറിച്ചു. അമൃതാനന്ദമായിയുടെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട സഹയാത്രികനായിരുന്ന സ്വാമി അമൃത സ്വരൂപാനന്ദയുടെ താൽപ്പര്യം എന്നെ ഒരാൾ വന്ന് അറിയിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ക്ഷണം ഞാൻ സ്വീകരിച്ചു. അതിശയകരമായ അനുഭവം മാൻഹൈമിലെത്തിയ എനിക്കപ്പോൾ അനുഭവമായി. നേരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞ സമയത്തു തന്നെ ഞാൻ മാൻഹൈമിലെ അവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനാ സമ്മേളന ഹാളിന്റെ മുമ്പിലെത്തിച്ചേർന്നു. സ്വാമി അമൃത സ്വരൂപാനന്ദ സമ്മേളന ഹാളിന്റെ പ്രധാന വാതിൽക്കൽ എന്നെ കാത്തു നിന്നിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ഉടനെ തന്നെ എന്നെ ആയിരങ്ങളിരിക്കുന്ന ആ വലിയ സമ്മേളന ഹോളിൽ   ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്ന വേദിയിൽ   മാതാ അമൃതാനാന്ദമയിയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് കൂട്ടികൊണ്ടു പോയി. മാൻഹൈമിലെ സമ്മേളനഹാൾ നിറയെ അമൃതാനന്ദ മയിയുടെ ജർമ്മൻകാരായ ആരാധകരെക്കൊണ്ട് അപ്പോൾ പൂർണ്ണമായും നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അന്ന് മാൻഹൈം നഗരവാസികൾ അത്യാദരപൂർവ്വമുള്ള പ്രൗഢിയേറിയ സ്വീകരണമാണ് നൽകിയത്. അമൃതാനന്ദമായി ഇരുന്നിരുന്ന സമ്മേളന സ്ഥാനം ഭീമാകാരമായ പന്തലായിരുന്നില്ല, മറിച്ചു, വളരെയേറെ  വോളണ്ടറിയന്മാർ പ്രൗഢിയേറിയ ഒരു വിശാലമായ ഹാളിന്റെ വേദിയിൽ ഉപവിഷ്ടരായിരുന്ന സ്വാമിമാർ, അനേകം ഭക്തന്മാർ,  എല്ലാം കണ്ട് ഞാൻ അമ്പരന്നു. ആ വലിയ ഒരു സദസ്സിൽ എന്റെ സ്ഥാനം എന്താണെന്ന് ചിന്തിച്ചു സ്വയം അത്ഭുതപ്പെട്ടു. ഭാഗ്യവശാൽ എന്റെ സ്വന്തം പ്രതീക്ഷകളോ ആവശ്യങ്ങളോ എല്ലാറ്റിലും മിതമായിരുന്നു.

സ്വാമി അമൃത സ്വരൂപാനന്ദയാണ് എന്നെ മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയിയ്ക്ക് നേരിട്ട് പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. "ജർമ്മനിയിൽ ഹൈഡൽബർഗിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന മലയാളിയാണ് ഞാനെന്നും ഒരു "കേരളാ- ജർമ്മൻ കൾച്ചറൽ ഫോറം"  സംഘടനയുടെ സെക്രട്ടറിയാണ് " എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. അമൃതാനന്ദമയിയുടെ സംഭാഷണ വിഷയങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പൊതുജനസമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ബഹു മുഖമായിട്ടുള്ള എല്ലാ വികസനവും പൊതു   നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതുമായ വിവിധ കാര്യങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയും  അവരുടെ സ്വന്തമായ തമിഴ്- മലയാള ഭാഷാരീതിയിൽ എത്രകേട്ടാലം അത് അധികമായെന്നു എനിക്ക് അപ്പോൾ തോന്നിയിരുന്നില്ല. പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചതിലും വളരെ അപ്പുറത്തു കടന്നുള്ള സന്തോഷകരമായ ഒരുനല്ല  സ്വാഗതമാണ് ശ്രീമതി അമൃതാനന്ദമയി എനിക്ക് നൽകിയതെന്ന് പറയട്ടെ. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, അന്നും ഇന്നും ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കലും അമൃതാനന്ദമയിയുടെ ഒരു ആരാധകനോ ഭക്തനോ അല്ല എന്ന് തുറന്നു പറയട്ടെ. കേരളത്തിലെ  മലയാള മാദ്ധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടൽ ഫോട്ടോ കണ്ടവർ പലരും എന്നോട് ചോദിച്ചു ഞാൻ അമൃതാഭക്തനായി മാറിയോ എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഞങ്ങൾ പല സാമൂഹിക വിഷയങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയും സംസാരിച്ചു. "നമ്മുടെ മലയാളികൾ ജീവിക്കുന്നത് ഏതുരാജ്യത്തുമാകട്ടെ, നമ്മുടെ തനതായ ആത്മീയവിശ്വാസ മൂല്യങ്ങൾ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്താതെ കാത്തു സൂക്ഷിക്കണം" എന്ന സന്ദേശമാണ് പ്രധാനമായും പറഞ്ഞത്. മാൻഹൈമിലെ പ്രാർത്ഥനായോഗത്തിനിടെ വന്നെത്തിയിരുന്ന അനേകം ഭക്തരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയി ഞാനുമായിട്ട് സംസാരിക്കുന്ന അവസരത്തിൽ സമീപത്ത് എന്നെ അമൃതാനന്ദമയിയുടെ അടുത്തേയ്ക്ക് ആനയിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്വാമി അമൃത സ്വരൂപാനന്ദയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തുതന്നെ ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.

അമൃതാനന്ദമയിക്ക് ജർമ്മൻ നഗരമായ മാൻഹൈമിലെ നിവാസികളാകട്ടെ  അത്യാദരപൂർവ്വം വരവേൽപ്പ് നൽകി. പ്രസിദ്ധമായ "മേയ് മാർക്കറ്റ് ഹാൾ" അമൃതാനന്ദമയിക്ക് വേണ്ടി തുറന്നു കൊടുത്തു."ഏതു സംസ്കാരത്തിന്റെയും നല്ലവയെ സ്വീകരിക്കാം, പക്ഷെ, വിദേശങ്ങളിൽ ജനിക്കുന്നവരായ നമ്മുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ നമ്മുടെ മാതൃഭാഷ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ നിന്ന് മാതാപിതാക്കൾ പിന്നോക്കം പോകരുത്. കാരണം, കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ നാട്ടിൽച്ചെന്നാൽ മുത്തശ്ശിമാരോടും മുത്തച്ഛന്മാരോടും വിദേശജീവിതകഥകളെല്ലാം നന്നായി പറയാൻ അവർക്ക് മാതൃഭാഷ അറിയണം, ഇതാണ് എനിക്ക് യൂറോപ്പിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരോട് പറയാനുള്ള സന്ദേശം". ഇതാണ് മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയി ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ വളരെയേറെ പ്രാധാന്യം നൽകികൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞ സന്ദേശം. ഞാനവിടെ ദർശിച്ചത് എനിക്ക് വളരെയേറെ അതിശയം ഉണ്ടാക്കി. മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയിയെ കാണാനും, അവരുടെ സ്‌നേഹാനുഗ്രഹം വാങ്ങാനും ലോകത്തിന്റെ പലഭാഗങ്ങളിലുള്ള അനേകം അമൃതാനന്ദ ഭക്തർ തുടരെ ആ വലിയ ഹാളിലേക്ക് വന്നെത്തുകയും തിരിച്ചുപോവുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. //-

A Meditative Reflection on the Testament-

Dr. Thomas Kadankavil CM I 

1. The Context

His writings, especially the letters are mainly addressed to three catagories of People, namely religious, priests and families. These instructions were mainly aimed at Building up their communities as Family of God. Since the members of the congregation consider the holy words of their founder as Testament, those sayings directly related to religious and priestly life are collected together as his will given to the posterity to Relish in their daily life and thus to rejuvanate Always the Mission of the congregation. What follows is a freelance writer's running commentary on all the articles included in the Testament.

2. Structural Information About the Text.

All the text given here are Translation from the first Malayalam Edition of the complete works of Chavara published in 1981- 1982 in 4 voliumes. The only norm is selecting these text seems to be that they express the mind and vison of Chavara on religious and priestly life very touchingly and vividly.

Thext can be grouped under the following sub-titles:

1. Beauty of vocation to religious life (No. 1-6),

2). Way to grow in Holiness (No.7-10)and 18, 19,

3). Nature of religious life.

4). Holiness in Priestly life (No. 14, 15, 16, 17)

5) Christian virtues 20-30, 31, 32, 33)

6) Thought on the sick, Dying and Death (No.31, 34, 35).

3). Beauty of Vocation to Religious life.

Chavara understood vocation to priestly and religious life as two distict Gifts God bestows on his specially  chosen Souls. The first vocation he recieved was to priestly life, that too was at the tender age of Eleven and the vocation to religious life grew in him through the Long years of prayerful waiting. This naturely suggests that the members of his congregation have to mark out the distinctive characteristics of priestly and religious spirituality and they have to be beutifully blended in their lives. The year of priest celebrated in 2013 with St. John Vianny as Patron brought to our  attention the constitutive dimensions of the spirituality of a diocesan priest. In the present context when we turn our Attention to the double vocation of Chavara the distinguishing Elements of religious spirituality also has be specially examined.

Because of the special pastoral situation during the last six decades in the Church in Kerala members of the congregation were greatly involved in the patrol work done by the diocesan clergy, even converting the monastery chapels into parish churches. Today several members, especially the youngesters have begun to give more prominence to priestly identity than to the religious because of the increased Involvement of the congregation in the pastoral work. This call for a fresh understanding of the mind of Chavara with regard to these two vacations. This fact is that the priestly identity brings members closer to the People and it gives them more social recoginition and emotional satisfaction, with the consequence that it is given prime importance at the expence of religious life Chavara envisaged.

A meditative reading of the reflections of Chavara on religious vocation and life would certainly serve as a corrective for the lopsided Vision of the Christian vocations. It would remind one not to  forget the greatness of his religious identity due to the prominence given to priestly identity.

Submission to Gods will:

1. Loving community:

In the article on Submission to God's will, besides referring to the historical fact that the congregation grew in the Carmalite Tradition, the author firmly affirms that it so happened " because God willed it so" and not because man planned it thus. The Opening article of the CMI constitutions is a restatement of what Chavara wrote in here. The constitutions declare: " God, in his loving Providence has called us, Carmalites of Mary Immaculate to a community of love in the church"(#1).

2. Historical Origin:

The answer Chavara gave to the question why the congregation developed in the Carmalite Tradition was that it was so willed by God. Next he refers to ist early human planning. " The founding Fathers Thomas Palackal and Thomas Porukara had sought and arranged for this being a Dominican order. That is why we started unprocedentedly wearing the white casock and took other steps.(Vol.4,1990, pp,70,71).

Chavara artributesthe change in the initial plan to the loving intervention of the beloved Mother, due to frailty of her Children whom she took into her Special care. He affirms his firm faith in this truith in the following words: " I am sure of this as I am sure of this as paper" on which he was writing.

3. A true Monk and Obedience:

Religious obedience is regarded as the anchor and fountainhead of all virtues. Hence he says that to become true Monks(religious) one has to make complete surrender of self and practice obedience.If one has that he is a true religious.

The ideal proposed for this Goal is the practicing of the virtue of obedienceto perfection. The mode of practicing it has to be as if one had no eyes and ears. Once the Tradition of practicing the virtue of blind obedience was recommended in the monastic spirituality nd now it is being interpreted obeying the directive of one's superiors for the larger good of the community even when one does not see the reasonableness of the precept of the superior over his own reasoning.

4. Mutual obedience:

"We owe the same obedience to the other sub-superiors and finally to one another". Chavara here seem to be referring to what St.Paul wrote to the Corinthians: " All of you may proclaim God's message, one by one, so that everyone may learn and be encouraged . The spirit of of Prophet should be obedient to the prophets, because God is not God of disorder but Peace"(1Cor.14:31-33) Chavara concludes his reflection on obedience with the following words: He who practice perfect obedience in all These spheres will enjoy heavenly Peace in this monastery itself".

5. Words of encouragement.

" Don't be discouraged. Although in the beginning, you may find it difficult and against your inclinations and tendencies, after some time you will find it good and you will begin to feel that this is the Right attitude. Besides you will also enjoy great Peace of mind. //-

Need of Spiritual Exercises:

Had not the Lord in your heart silently admonished to Reform your life by daily Meditation, examination of conscience, Weekly confession and spiritual reading ? Did you not make a promisie to observe all these? For a time you did it, then took it the old ways. You preferred to listen to the voice of the world rather than the voice of God. If you continue this manner of blowing hot and Cold, as the scriture confirms, God will womit you out of his mouth(Vol.3.62). 

Prayer of the priest :

Almighty God, bless us who are called to serve in holy priesthood that we may serve you worthly and with great Devotion. Protect us from offending you even by the least sin. Give us the grace to be deeply sorry for our sins and to serve you with great fervour and Devotion everyday (Vol.3, 76).

Devotion to Mary: 

O my Jesus, turn your eyes to your most blessed Mother. Forgive us, we implore you in memory of the eyes that shed Tears for us , and the heart that was pierced for our sake. The heart to which you learned as babe and the heart that fondled you in deeath is the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It was her own lips that kissed and wiped away the blood of your wounds. It was the tear from those eyes that washed your blood-stained Body. My Jesus, bearing in mind those blessed eyes and tender heart and lips of your dear mother, be Kind to us. Till now I have never had to draw the net empty after casting it in the name of our Holy Mother.

Devotion to St. Joseph:

My dear brother, Devotion to St. Joseph is an efficatious means to cross the great sea of death. O St. Joseph, dear Father, your paternity fostered Young Jesus in such a way as he would feel quite at home in your guardianship and protection. O dear St.Joseph , I humbly place at your feet this supplication  thrusting that you, as my Father, will intercede for me before your Son and otain from him the grace that I may overcome my weaknesses and follies for good and thus Triumph over my spiritual adversaries ( Vol. 4, 157, 158, Vol,3. 30). 

Happiness:

 You could have found happiness everywhere if you had been seeking the will of God instead of desiring to satisfy your own will. If you observe charity, humility, neatness, and promptness in what concerns you, you as well as the world the world around you will be happy.(Vol. 4, 92). 

Co-operate with God's work: Our Task is to do the work and God will pay for it. For what is entrusted to us is the patrimony of Jesus Christ. So we are to work for him( Vol.4. 113).

Be a Lasting light:

The glowing light coming from a heap of straw in fire will soon be exinguesed; a Tiny light coming from a Lamp is much better and Lasting(Vol.4, 139).

Choose good Friends: 

Tell me who are your Friends and I will tell you, who you are. 

Away fom Alcohol: 

Consumption of alcoholic Drinks is something most odius before the world and very sinful before the Lord. (Vol.4. 141).

Avoid undue Wealth:

What you have achieved by crooked means or by theft will soon melt away like snow(Vol.4, 142).

Stinginess and extravangance :

Both stinginess and extravangance are equally sinful.(VOl.4, 142).

Be merciful with labours and the poor:

Never withhold just wage from labours or make undue delay in paying him, because that is an offence that cries out to God for justice. Do not Insult the poor ; neither should you vex them, because if God sees him weeping he will surely wreak vengeance on you ( Vol. 4.143, 144).

Remove the intellectual blindness by learning:

Just as without eye one cannot see the material Things of the world, so also without Knowledge it will be imposible for us to see or understand the reality of the world and the eternity of God. As those who have no eyes are called blind, so too those who have no learning are to be called 'Intellectually blind ' . Hence it is the resposibility of priest to teach the Faithfull and of parents to teach their Children(Vol, 4, 129).

Prority of Soul over Body:

If both Body and Soul are in danger, sacrifice the Body and save the Soul. The body will perish today or tomorrow, but the soul will live forever. All works done inthe world should be directed towards the benifit of the Soul.(Vol.4,155).

A good work a day:

The on which you have not done any good to your fellowmen will not be counted int he book of life (Vol. 4,142).

Help the Sick and Dying:

The greatest vitue a man have is the help given to a man at the Moment of his death. This is again the greatest act of charity. One cannot measure the greatness of such deed. Nursing of the sick may be most difficult, unplesant, detestable and degrading act before fellowmen, but it is the most meritorious Service before God. It is true that many Saints reached the height of sanctity by nursing the sick. I have my own fears About the houses where there are not sick members. The reason is that that the Absence of a suffering member in the house would not bring God's Blessing in its wake. When you become inactive due to sickness offer up to God very pulse beat of your veins, every winking of your eyes, every breath of yours and each little chirping of the birds, intent everything as your Prayer(Vol. 4. 154, 158, 159, 110.).

A Sweet Memory:

Please plant the sapling of this sweet mango wich I Name it as Dukaran (remebrance) in each of your monastery .This is to make you realize that myself and all men are week and faltering and don't have Long life even as these mango trees which gives sweet fruits (Vol.4. 70, 71).

Gift of Time :

My Hours of labour are nearing the end. There is not much time left. God the allmighty granted more time to me tan to my predecessors. It was granted to not so much only for me. I know, but also for the benifit of others. It is only that I realize fully that without making proper use of the Talent s given to me., I had buried them deep like idiot. My concience is accusing me now for the fault. Even now I am trying to lame excuse and false reasons for my failure. Let evry one be vigilent not to waste any time. Rember how precious the time is. ( Vol.4, 113).

Be more Fervent :

Again I pray to my brethren, pray for me. I took my vows in the congregation as the first member and was made the first Prior. But I have not fulfilled to my satisfaction my Obligation in observing the constitutions and enforcing the same. I did not give good examples. You must forgive me the scandal I have given you. Don't follow my bad example, but fulfill what is lacking in me. Pray that you may become more fervent(Vol. 4, 103).

Parting Words:

Why should you grieve after all? All men must die some time or other., who or whatever they be! My hour is come. By the grace of God, I constantly had the Vision of this hour before me and I was preparing for it. My parents  always kept me mindful of the Holly Family, which was ever my protection and in my imagination. As I had Always the protection of the Holy Family I can tell you with confidence that I have never lost the grace I received in baptism. I dedicated our little Congregation and each of you to the holy family. Always rely on Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Let the holy family reign in your hearts. Do not be worried or upset that I am dying. Joyfully submit yourselves to the will of God. God will provide you with a new Prior who will be a source of Blessing for the Congregation as well as for you. Hold fast to the constitutions, the rule of our superiors and that of the Church. Love our God Jesus Christ in the most blessed sacrament with all your heart. Draw the water of eternal life from the fountain as in the words of the Prophet Elijah. All the members of the congregation, especially superiors must be charitable to one another. You do so. God will be glorified through the congregation and it will flourish day after day. Your charity will bring salvation to Souls. Loving Words of a Founding Father to his Community:

Model of the First Christian Comunity:

As there existed a deep spiritual brotherhood among us and because we wanted to have fellowship also in the things of the body similar to the spiritual fellowship, we decided to put together all our material earnings and the fruits thereof belonging to us, following the example showed by St. Peter in the beginning as a replica and foundation Stone.(Vol.1,208)

Spiritual Reading and Mystical Union:

I wish that all of you listen to and learn this Little advice. The staight way to the summit of perfection and the means not to tumble down from the hight is simply this: avoid wasting your time in useless conversation. The time you save after your proper work and recreation should be spent in spiritual reading. It nourishes a religious with love and enables him to enjoy solitude and when a soul delights in solitude, Jesus Christ will come to Converse with it. At first you will not understand the language. Then it is the Lord himself who will lead you to the wine-celler and pour out some wine for you.- a Little at first. 

In the couse of time you will beginn to understand the language. When your spouse sees that you underhand his speach, he will speak more and more distingtly and Show you the magnitude of his love. Then the Bride will love him more and the bridegroom will rejoice over it and adorn her with Ornaments. Thus commences the divine union. Consider how sweet the voice of your loving spouse is. he is alwas accompanying you whereever you are, Looking for all your Needs and watching whether you love him more than anything else. Then on there will be Nothing to fear. This is the clear way to spiritual life and perfection. (Vol. 4, 116, 117).

Silence and Soilitude :

I can tell you with my tongue in the Meditation. Here is your father eagerly waiting to recieve you affectionate love and with outstretched arms to embrace you in the silence and solitude of the retreat. So  abandon your old tepid ways, resolve to follow him with fervour and Diligence. Now is the acceptable time ; who knows whether such a favourable day will dawn for you again. We cannot enjoy the the sweetness of religious state and fulfil the obligations thereof unless we keep ourselves aloof from others now and then. Since, as was reminded by our Lord, our Spirits are awake but our flesh is weak, it is necessary that we awake from time to time and renew our zeal(Vol.3, 53).

Meditation :

 Meditation is dialogue with God. It is an act of Dialoge of the Person united in love with the divine spouse, Jesus Christ, as if two Friends are united in love. When Friends sit close to each other, they find enough topics to talk about without end. For if there is love the conversion goes unbroken and no one needs to to teach either of the two friends how to go on talking... So also if there is true love for, there will be enough matter to converse with him in Meditation(Vol. 3, 14, 15).

Examination of conscience : 

Oh, Soul of the servant of God ! Check what are you doing now; where are you going and where will the path you are treading take you and how fruitful is your present life and how effective will it be in the future. Make a review now and then to see whether your life is leading to eternity or not, as a traveller is on his guard on his way making sure that je is the Right path(Vol. 3, 49, 50).

Religious house a Little heaven:

Religious hous is a Little heaven on earth when ist members live in mutual respect., respecting the higher autorities, immidiate superiors and one another. The strength of the monastry is not in the thickness of the walls of the monastry Building but in the zeal and virtues of the members who live in it. They are founded by God to make it the mirrors of virtue and Assembly of the holy People(Vol.4, 100, 90, 94).

Co-responsibility:

O, my beloved brethren, if we having been called by God, had joined the monastry to leave according to our own will obying only the superiors whom we like, then our behaviour is no better than the unbelievers. If it were our wish to live as we like, why did we choose this vocation,. One must take the responsibility of the Task entrusted to him. let the superiors do the Management of everything.The procurator's Duty is to get the work done. The rest of the community should obey with humility. Be charitable and be industious. Let each one take care not to waste any time.Remeber the reward we are hoping for. Everyone is Duty- Bound to keep the monastry and ist property without Damage and to use them with care as if they belonged to other as well.(Vol. 4, 91, 92, 93, 113).

Commitment to Religious Life:

My beloved brothren, loving sons, none of us was drawn to this life in the monastry, being driven by hunger or desperate Living circumstances in the world. We could have enjoyed the best of comforts, had we been in the world. But we have by our own will, renounced our parents and our Wealth to come here. Now if we forsake the Lord through our negligence and our indolence, what a great mistake it would be, and how great a Madness!(Vo.4, 94, 95).

Priestly Holiness:

"I am holy and therefore those who serve me must also be holy" said the Lord. Examine how you have behaved in the house of Lord. Arround the altar, a place most holy and sacred, there the Seraphim and hosts of angels of different order bow trembling in Adoration. With what devotion are you ascending the altar, a place most holy and sacred, there the Seraphim and hosts of angels of deferent order bow trembling in Adoration. With what devotion are you ascending the altar day by day to perform the sacred rituels. ? In the old dissention when rams and oxen were offered in sacrefice at altar, a little carelessness on the part of the priest was punished very severely. Fire descended from heaven and consumed everything and the priest fell dead. But here on this altar it is not ox or doves that are killed and offered in sacrifice, but the Son of the eternal Father who by a single word is able to annihilate evrything. You touched the same Son with your Hands; you receive him in your heart every day. Remember then how pure should your Hands be and how clan should be your heart! (Vol.3, 51).

God's bountiful Love:

Remember what the Lord has done for you. He Chose you from out of thousands. There were many who more worthy than you were. Yet, wonder of wonder, called you to his home, endowed you with many Gifts of matter and spirit. It looks as if you were wresling with God choosing to go your own way. The more he loves you the more you are ungrateful. The more he is Patient with you the more you grow impatient and insulting. O! What a tragedy is! You have been Chosen to love him and serve him. But you have joined Hands with the world that hate him and insult him. O! Servant of God arise from your lethargy. Do not allow yourself to be caught in the clutches of the devil whose only desire is to drag you into perdition. How Long has God been patient with you? How lovingly has he accompanied you? (Vol, 3, 52, 53).//-

മനസ്സിൽനിന്നും ഒരിക്കലും  മറയാത്ത ജന്മദേശം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മനുഷ്യർ മറ്റൊരിടത്തേയ്ക്ക് സ്ഥിരമായി കുടിയേറിപ്പാർക്കുന്ന ഒരു പ്രത്യേകമായ  കാര്യത്തെപ്പറ്റിയാണ് കുടിയേറിപ്പാർക്കുക എന്ന് നാം പറയുന്നത്. അതാകട്ടെ അവരവരുടെ സ്വന്തം രാജ്യത്തുതന്നെയായാലും അഥവാ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും മറുനാടുകളിലേയ്ക്കായാലും, ഒരേ അർത്ഥം തന്നെയാണല്ലോ നൽകുന്നത്. കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങൾക്ക് കാരണമായി പറയാവുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ നമുക്ക് കാണുവാൻ കഴിയും. തികച്ചും വ്യക്തിപരമോ, സാമൂഹികമോ, അതായത് ദൈനംദിന രാഷ്ട്രീയസാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ, മതപരം, സാമ്പത്തിക- പരിസ്ഥിതി വിഷയങ്ങൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിരവധി ഘടകങ്ങളുണ്ട്. വളരെ പുരാതന കാലങ്ങൾ തൊട്ട് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുള്ള ജനതകളുടെ കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങൾക്ക് കാരണങ്ങളായി ചരിത്രം പറയാറുള്ളത് ഇവയൊക്കെയാണ്. ഭാവിജീവിതത്തിലെ പ്രത്യാശകളും, അത് പൂർത്തിയായി ലഭിക്കുമ്പോഴുള്ള സന്തോഷവും. ഒരുസ്ഥലത്തു നിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങി മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലത്തേയ്ക്ക് കുടിയേറി പാർക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അവകാശംപോലെ തന്നെ, സ്വന്തം പഴയലോകത്തേയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചുവന്നു പാർക്കുവാനുള്ള ഏത് അവകാശങ്ങളും ഇതിൽപ്പെടുന്നു. കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങളുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിലാകട്ടെ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തികളോ കുടുംബങ്ങളോ മാത്രമല്ല, ഒരു പ്രദേശത്ത് വസിക്കുന്ന ജനസമൂഹം മുഴുവനുമായോ ഭാഗികമായോ നടന്നിട്ടുള്ള കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങളുടെ സംഭവങ്ങൾ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഒരു രാജ്യത്തെ പ്രത്യേക രാഷ്ട്രീയ കാരണം കൊണ്ട് വേറൊരു രാജ്യത്തു ചെന്ന് താമസിക്കുന്നവരെ കുടിയേറ്റക്കാർ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. മനുഷ്യർ ആയിരിക്കുക, അതെങ്ങനെ സാധിക്കണം?ചുറ്റുമുള്ള സഹമനുഷ്യർക്കും പരസ്പര സഹായസേവനങ്ങൾ നൽകാൻ തയ്യാറാകണം. കുടിയേറിപ്പാർക്കുന്നവരുടെ കഷ്ടപ്പാടുകളെപ്പറ്റി അറിയണം. നിലവിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ സർക്കാരും, ആ രാജ്യം ഭരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയപ്പാർട്ടികളും, വിദേശ ഇന്ത്യാക്കാർ ജന്മനാട്ടിൽ നിന്നും നേരിടുന്ന പ്രതിസന്ധികളെപ്പറ്റിയോ അവരുടെയെല്ലാം താൽപ്പര്യങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയോ ഒക്കെ ചിന്തിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ, അവർ അവരുടെ തലപ്പാവ് ആദ്യം എടുത്തു മാറ്റണം. 

ഭൂഖണ്ഡങ്ങൾ തലങ്ങനേയും വിലങ്ങനെയും മനുഷ്യവംശത്തിന്റെയും മറ്റുജീവജാലങ്ങളുടെയും ദേശാന്തരഗമനങ്ങൾ   എക്കാലത്തും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. പഴയ നിയമ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലും അതിനുശേഷവും ജനതകളുടെ രാജ്യാന്തര കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് നാം വായിക്കുന്നു.  പിന്നീട് കാലത്തിന്റെ അനുയോജ്യമായ തികവിൽ വീണ്ടും അവർ ജന്മനാട്ടിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചെത്തി. ജീവരക്ഷയെ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചുള്ള കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങളുടെ ഉദാഹരണങ്ങളായിരുന്നു ഇവ. ഇപ്രകാരമല്ലാതെ മറ്റു നിരവധി കാരണങ്ങൾ മൂലം ജനങ്ങൾ മറ്റുള്ള രാജ്യങ്ങളിലേക്ക് കുടിയേറിയിരുന്ന സംഭവങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രധാനമായ കാരണം സാമ്പത്തിക മേന്മയെ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കിയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു. സ്വന്തം നാട്ടിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു വന്നവരെ കുടിയേറ്റക്കാരാണ് എന്ന് ആരും ആക്ഷേപിച്ചില്ല.   

സാമ്പത്തിക മേന്മ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി മദ്ധ്യയുഗ കാലഘട്ടത്തിനുശേഷം നടന്ന കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങളിൽ ഏറ്റവും പ്രസിദ്ധമായത് അമേരിക്കൻ ഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിലേക്ക് യൂറോപ്യൻ വംശജരുടെ കുടിയേറ്റമാണ്. യുദ്ധങ്ങളും യുദ്ധഭീഷണിമൂലവും കൂടാതെ, ചില പ്രത്യേക വംശങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടരലും വിരട്ടിയോടിക്കലുകളും കാരണമായ അനേകം കുടിയേറ്റ സംഭവങ്ങളും നടന്നത് ചരിത്രത്തിലുണ്ട്. ഒരുദാഹരണം, പതിനേഴും പതിനെട്ടും നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളിൽ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട്, ജർമ്മനി നെതർലാൻഡ്, ഫ്രാൻസ് എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള നിരവധി യൂറോപ്യൻരാജ്യങ്ങൾ ആഫ്രക്കയിലും തെക്കേഅമേരിക്കൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും, ഇന്ത്യയിലും എല്ലാം കുടിയേറ്റ കോളനികളും അധികാരവും സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകളെ യുദ്ധങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു കൊലപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്ത്‌  അധികാരം സ്ഥാപിച്ചതുമെല്ലാം ചരിത്രമായി മാറി.. രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധകാലത്ത് യഹൂദവംശജരെയെല്ലാം വിരട്ടിയോടിച്ചതും  അറുപതുലക്ഷം യഹൂദവംശ ജരെ വിവിധ കോൺസെന്ട്രേഷൻ ക്യാമ്പുകളിൽ അടച്ചിട്ട് നിഷ്ടൂരമായി കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയതും, നാസ്സികളിൽ നിന്നും രക്ഷപെട്ട് ജീവരക്ഷതേടി മറുനാടുകളിൽ അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ചതുമെല്ലാം അഡോൾഫ് ഹിറ്റലറുടെ ഭരണ കാലത്താണ്.. അതുപോലെ രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധത്തിൽ അനേകം ജർമൻ ജനത ചിന്നിച്ചിതറി വേർപെടുത്തപ്പെട്ട് അമേരിക്കയിലും ഹംഗറിയിലും റഷ്യയിലും റുമേനിയയിലും നിർബന്ധിതരായി കുടിയേറേണ്ടിവന്ന കഥ വിസ്മരിക്കേണ്ടതില്ല. മറ്റൊരു അതിശയകരമായ വിവരം നമ്മുക്ക് കാണാം. ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ജനാധിപത്യരാജ്യമെന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്നും നാലുവർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ (2014- മുതൽ 2018വരെ) രാഷ്ട്രീയ അഭയാർത്ഥികളായി അമേരിക്കയിൽ കുടിയേറിയവരുടെ എണ്ണം 20200- ൽ കൂടുതലാണെന്ന് ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ നാളിൽ അമേരിക്കൻ സർക്കാർ റിപ്പോർട്ട് പറയുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യ ഭരിക്കുന്ന ഭരണകൂടത്തിന്റെ സ്വേച്ഛാധിപത്യ കിരാതത്വം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന സത്യഫലം..!

ലോകശ്രദ്ധയെ അത്യധികം ആകർഷിച്ച പശ്ചിമ- പൂർവ്വ ജർമ്മനികളുടെ പുന:രേകീകരണം നടന്നതിലൂടെ എന്ത് സംഭവിച്ചു? ലോകമെമ്പാടും ചിതറി കുടിയേറിപ്പാർത്തിരുന്ന എല്ലാ ജർമ്മൻ വംശജരെയും മാതൃരാജ്യത്തേയ്ക്ക് മനുഷ്യാവകാശത്തിന്റെ അത്ഭുതകരമായ മാതൃകയായി സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്തു. മാതൃരാജ്യത്തേയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചുവരുന്നവരുടെ വിദേശപൗരത്വം നീക്കംചെയ്ത് ജർമ്മൻ പൗരനായി ജീവിക്കുവാൻ അനുവാദം നൽകുന്ന പുതിയ നിയമം നിലവിൽ വന്നു. ലോകമഹായുദ്ധകാലത്ത് സ്വന്തം നാടുവിട്ടു പോകേണ്ടി വന്ന ജർമ്മൻ ജനതയെ മാതൃരാജ്യം ഹൃദയത്തോട് ചേർത്തു സ്വീകരിച്ചു.

ലോകജനതയുടെ കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങളുടെ വലിയ ചരിത്രം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച കാലമായി പതിനെട്ടും പത്തൊൻപതും ഇരുപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ ആദ്യ കാലഘട്ടവും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. മറുനാടുകളിലേക്കുള്ള കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങൾക്ക് തുണയായത് പ്രധാനമായും കപ്പൽഗതാഗതമായിരുന്നു. യൂറോപ്യൻ വംശജർ ഇത്തരം കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങളിലൂടെ ലോകമെമ്പാടും കോളനികൾ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. അതോടെ വ്യാപാരമേഖലകൾ തുറന്നു. അനുബന്ധമായി അടിമത്ത സമ്പ്രദായത്തിനും ശക്തി വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യ, ആഫ്രിക്ക, ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയ, അമേരിക്ക, കൂടാതെ പൂർവ്വയൂറോപ്യൻ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിരവധി ലോകരാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഇവർ ആധിപത്യം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. ഇവരിൽ പ്രമുഖരായ സമൂഹം ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്‌കാരും പോർട്ടുഗീസുകാരും, ജർമ്മൻകാരും, ഹോളണ്ടുകാരും, ഫ്രഞ്ചുകാരും ഒക്കെ ആയിരുന്നുവെന്നു ചരിത്രം നമ്മെ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നു. പതിനെട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ ജർമ്മൻ വംശജർ റഷ്യ, ഹംഗറി, ചില ആഫ്രിക്കൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ കുടിയേറ്റം നടത്തി അവിടെയെല്ലാം ആധിപത്യം സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. അതിനൊരു തെളിവ് നമുക്ക് കാണാം. ജർമ്മൻ വംശജയായിരുന്ന റഷ്യൻ സാർ ചക്രവർത്തിനി ഒരു ജർമ്മൻ വനിതയായിരുന്നു. അവർ സ്ഥാപിച്ച ജർമ്മൻ പ്രോവിൻസെന്ന് അറിയപ്പെട്ട വോൾഗാ ജർമ്മൻ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്ക് പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഉദാഹരണമാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷുകാരുടെ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഉപഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിലേക്കുള്ള കുടിയേറ്റവും 1845- ൽ യൂറോപ്യരുടെ അമേരിക്കൻ ഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിലേക്കുള്ള കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങളും സ്ഥിര അധികാര കേന്ദ്രമാക്കിയ സംഭവങ്ങളും ചരിത്രത്തിൽ മഹാസംഭവങ്ങളാണ്. സ്വർണ്ണം തേടിയിറങ്ങിയ കുടിയേറ്റമെന്നും അതിനെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. മദ്ധ്യയുഗകാലഘട്ടം മുതൽ യൂറോപ്യൻ സമൂഹത്തിൽ രാഷ്ട്രീയപരവും മതപരവും സാമ്പത്തികവുമായ വിവിധ കാരണങ്ങളാൽ അതിശയകരമായ കൂട്ട കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്.

1947- ൽ ഇന്ത്യയിൽനിന്ന് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്‌കാർ ഇന്ത്യയുടെമേലുള്ള ഭരണാധികാരം വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു നൽകിയതോടെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക നില ജനജീവിത നിലവാരത്തെ പ്രതികൂലമായി നേരിട്ടിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക നില ഇന്നും ഭദ്രമായിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നു കാണുവാനുള്ള പ്രത്യേക സാഹചര്യങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും മുന്നിൽക്കാണാനില്ല. ഇന്ത്യ സ്വാതന്ത്രമായിയെങ്കിലും, വ്യവസായികവും കാർഷികവും തൊഴിൽരംഗങ്ങളുമെല്ലാം, രാഷ്ട്രീയ ഭരണകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളുടെ പിടിപ്പ്കേട് മൂലം പിറകോട്ടടിക്കുകയാണ്. ഭരണകക്ഷികളുടെ താല്പര്യമുള്ള പ്രചാരണത്തിലൂടെ ഒരു മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട സാമ്പത്തിക ഭദ്രത കൈവരുത്തുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല. വികസനം എല്ലാമേഖലകളിലും ആനുപാതകമായി വളരണം. അതുപക്ഷേ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ  രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികളുടെ വികലമായ സമ്പത് വികസന കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകളെല്ലാം ജനങ്ങളുടെ ഭാവിപ്രതീക്ഷകളെ ഒന്നൊന്നായി തച്ചുടയ്ക്കുകയാണ്. രാജ്യത്തെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ അടിച്ചേൽപ്പിക്കുന്നതായ അനാവശ്യ അധികനികുതികൾ ജനങ്ങളുടെ തൊഴിൽ വരുമാനത്തിനൊപ്പം ആനുപാതികമല്ല. ഭരണതലത്തിൽ പുതിയ ഓരോ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികളുടെ നേതൃത്വങ്ങൾ കയറി വികലമായ സാമ്പത്തിക പരിഷ്ക്കരണങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കി സമ്പത്‌വ്യവസ്ഥയെ തലകീഴായി തകർക്കുക്കയാണ്. ആഗോളവത്ക്കരണം ശക്തിപ്രാപിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഇന്ത്യൻ സർക്കാരിന്റെ പൊതു സാമ്പത്തിക തൊഴിൽ നയങ്ങളും അവയുടെ സാദ്ധ്യതകളും, അതിനോട് അനുബന്ധമായ സാമൂഹ്യ സ്ഥിതിവിശേഷങ്ങളും മൂലം ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രതികൂലഫലമുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതേസമയം മറ്റ് രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ വിവിധ മേഖലകളിലെ വളർച്ചയും, അവിടെ ലഭിക്കുന്ന പുതിയ അവസരങ്ങളും, സാദ്ധ്യതകളും മനസ്സിലാക്കി ഭാരതീയർ, മലയാളികൾ ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ളവർ, അന്യനാടുകളിൽ പോയി ഭാവിജീവിതം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി. അങ്ങനെ അന്യനാടുകളിലേക്ക് ചെന്ന് പാർക്കുവാൻ കാരണമാക്കി. അന്യനാട്ടിൽ വിവിധ കാരണങ്ങളാൽ,   ഉദാഹരണം- ഓരോരോ  തൊഴിലുകൾ നേടി  കുടിയേറിയവരെ അഭിനവ  രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർ അവരെ എല്ലാവരെയും  "പ്രവാസികൾ" എന്ന വിളിപ്പേരിൽ വിളിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി. 

പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയർ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പ്രവാസി മലയാളികൾ എന്നൊക്കെ പേര് വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത് ആരെയാണ്? ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരൻ ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് വെളിയിൽ നൂറ്റി എൺപതു ദിവസങ്ങൾക്ക് മേൽ കാലയളവിൽ തുടർച്ചയായ താമസം ഉറപ്പിച്ചാൽ, ഉദാ: തൊഴിൽപരമായ കാരണത്താൽ, അയാൾ നിയമപരമായി "നോൺ റസിഡന്റ് ഇന്ത്യൻ" എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെടും. അഥവാ, ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് വെളിയിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും രാജ്യത്തു ജനിച്ചവരെയും അപ്രകാരം വിളിക്കാം. അതായത്, ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് വെളിയിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ വംശജൻ എന്നാണു ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യൻ സർക്കാർ നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ പുതിയ നിയമമനുസരിച്ചു ഏതെങ്കിലും കുടിയേറ്റ രാജ്യത്തെ പൗരത്വം അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരന് "പേഴ്സൺ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഒറിജിൻ" എന്ന് പദവി നൽകി. ആ പദവിക്ക് വീണ്ടും ഒരു മാറ്റം വരുത്തി "ഓവർസീസ് സിറ്റിസൺ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ" (O C I) എന്നപേരിൽ പുതിയ പേര് നൽകി. മറുനാട്ടിലെ പൗരത്വം ഉള്ള ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരനെയാണ് A Person Of Indian Origin എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെട്ടത്. ഈ പദവി നാല് തലമുറകൾ വരെ കൈവശം അനുഭവിക്കാമെന്ന് നിയമം അനുശാസിക്കുന്നു.

മുൻകാലകണക്കുകൾ പ്രകാരം ലോകമൊട്ടാകെ ഏതാണ്ട് 30 മില്യൺ P I O- യും (നോൺ റസിഡന്റ് ഇന്ത്യൻ) ഉണ്ടെന്നു കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഏഷ്യയിൽ 9800000, ആഫ്രിക്കയിൽ ശരാശരി 2800000, യൂറോപ്പ് ഏതാണ്ട് 1768850, മിഡിൽ ഈസ്റ്റ് രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ 4200000, നോർത്ത് അമേരിക്ക 4500000, സൗത്ത് അമേരിക്ക- 510000, ഫിജി, ആസ്‌ട്രേലിയ, ന്യുസിലാൻഡ്, തുടങ്ങിയ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ 600000 ഇന്ത്യാക്കാർ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഏകദേശം കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ കണക്കുകൾ ഒരു നാലുവർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പുള്ള സ്ഥിതിവിവരക്കണക്കാണ്. കൂടുതൽ ആളുകൾ പിന്നീടുള്ള വർഷങ്ങളിൽ വർദ്ധിച്ചുവെന്നു വേണം കരുതാൻ. 2006-ൽ ഇന്ത്യാഗവണ്മന്റ് പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയർക്കായി മാതൃരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ അവകാശങ്ങളുടെ ഉറപ്പിനായിട്ട് ഡ്യുവൽ സിറ്റിസൺഷിപ്പിനു സാദൃശ്യം തോന്നിക്കത്തക്ക രീതിയിൽ "ഓവർസീസ് സിറ്റിസൺ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ" (O. C. I) എന്ന സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതിനെ പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയരുടെ വംശീയത സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കുന്നതിനും, പ്രായോഗികമായി ഇന്റഗ്രേഷൻ പരിഗണനയ്ക്കും ലഭിച്ച ഒരു അംഗീകാരം എന്ന് പറയാം. വിദേശപൗരത്വം നേടിയിട്ടുള്ളവർക്ക് "പേഴ്സൺ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ഒറിജിൻ" എന്ന പദവി ലഭിക്കും. ഇതുവഴി പതിനഞ്ച് വർഷങ്ങൾ കാലപരിധിയില്ലാതെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാനുള്ള "വിസ" എന്നതാണ് അർത്ഥമാക്കുന്നത്. ഈയൊരു കാർഡ് ലഭിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി വിദേശപൗരത്വം ലഭിച്ച ഒരു ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരൻ ഏതാണ്ട് പതിനയ്യായിരം രൂപ ഫീസ് ഇനത്തിൽ അതാത് എംബസികളിൽ നൽകണം. അതുപോലെതന്നെ ഓവർസീസ് സിറ്റിസൺ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ ( O C I) ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളവർ, അതായത്, P I O കാർഡുള്ളവർ, 1500 രൂപ ഫീസിനത്തിൽ നൽകണം. ഇപ്രകാരം ലഭിക്കുന്ന ആനുകൂല്യം കൊണ്ട് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ആയുഷ്‌ക്കാല വിസയുടെ പ്രയോജനം ലഭിക്കുന്നു. അവർക്കാകട്ടെ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന അവകാശങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല. ജീവിതം സാദ്ധ്യമാക്കാൻ ഒരു തൊഴിൽ നൽകാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ഇന്ത്യൻ സർക്കാർ ഭാരതീയരോട് ചെയ്യുന്ന കടുത്ത അനീതി! ഒരു വോട്ടവകാശംപോലുമില്ല. ഭാവിജീവിതം എളുപ്പമാക്കാൻ ഒരു തൊഴിൽതേടി മറുരാജ്യത്തേയ്ക്ക് മാതൃരാജ്യം വിട്ടുപോയി എന്ന ഒരു തെറ്റ് മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളൂ. പ്രവാസികളായിത്തീർന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരന്മാരുടെ സ്വത്തിനും ഭവനത്തിനും തക്കതായ സംരക്ഷണവും സർക്കാർ നൽകുന്നില്ല. അതേസമയം പ്രവാസി ജോലി ചെയ്തുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന പണനിക്ഷേപം ഇന്ത്യൻസർക്കാർ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇവയൊന്നും പ്രവാസിഭാരതീയരുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു പരിഹാരമല്ല.

ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അനേകം വികസനപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയർ മികച്ച സംഭാവനകൾ നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതിൽ പ്രവാസിമലയാളികളുടെ പങ്കു ഇവിടെ പ്രത്യേകം പറയേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ പ്രവാസികളുടെ നേർക്ക് അവരുടെ ജീവിതപ്രശ്നങ്ങളിൽ നൽകേണ്ടതായ ശ്രദ്ധയും മാനുഷികമായ പരിഗണനയും നൽകുന്നതിന് ഇന്ത്യ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതൃത്വവും ഭരണനേതൃത്വവും കൂടെക്കൂടെ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നതാകട്ടെ പ്രവാസി ഇന്ത്യാക്കാർ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിക്ഷേപം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന് മാത്രം ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുകയാണ്. പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയരുടെ സമൂഹ താൽപ്പര്യങ്ങളും ക്ഷേമപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും ആവശ്യമായ റീ ഇന്റഗ്രേഷൻ നടപടിക്രമങ്ങളും എല്ലാം സർക്കാരിനും രാഷ്ട്രീയകക്ഷികൾക്കും എക്കാലവും അവസാന കാര്യമായി കണക്കാക്കുന്നു. പ്രവാസി ഇന്ത്യക്കാരുടെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഉള്ള സ്വന്തം വീടുകളോ മറ്റു പ്രോപ്പർട്ടികളോ വിൽക്കണമെങ്കിൽ സർക്കാരിന് സ്ഥലത്തിന് ലഭിച്ച വിലയുടെ വലിയ ശതമാനം നികുതിയിനത്തിൽ സർക്കാരിന് നല്കണം. ഒരു ജനാധിപത്യ രാജ്യമെന്ന കപടപേരിൽ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച നിയമം ജനദ്രോഹപരമായ നടപടികൾക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. 

പ്രവാസി മലയാളികൾ മാത്രം പ്രതിവർഷം അനേക കോടി രൂപയുടെ വൻ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഇന്ത്യയിലേയ്ക്ക് നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ടു ചെയ്യുന്നു. അതേസമയം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ചില പണക്കാർ അനേകകോടി രൂപയുടെ വിദേശ നാണ്യം വിദേശങ്ങളിൽ നിക്ഷേപം ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്. അവരിൽ മന്ത്രിമാരും പാർലമെന്റ് അംഗങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. പ്രവാസി മലയാളികൾ ശരാശരി 40000 കോടി രൂപയുടെ നിക്ഷേപം ഇന്ത്യൻ ബാങ്കുകളിൽ നടത്തുന്നതായി സ്ഥിതിവിവരക്കണക്കുകൾ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നു. ഇവയെല്ലാം പ്രൈവറ്റ് ബാങ്ക് നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളാണ്; സർക്കാർ മേഖലകളിലെ ബാങ്ക് നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഇതുവരെ പുറത്തു വിട്ടിട്ടില്ല. ഇത്തരം നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പൊതു സാമ്പത്തിക ഘടനയെ ശക്തമായി ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്ന മെഗാ പിന്തുണയാണെന്ന് ഭരണ- രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതൃത്വങ്ങൾ സമ്മതിക്കുമോ? അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിൽ ഇത്തരം വൻ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളാണെങ്കിലും കേരളത്തിലെ ഒരു ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു കുടുംബസദ്യക്ക് ആദ്യം ഉപ്പു വിളമ്പുന്ന പ്രാധാന്യമേ നൽകുകയുള്ളൂ.

1960 കളുടെ ഒരു കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ധീരശാലിക ളായ കുറെ പെൺകുട്ടികൾ മാത്രം ജർമ്മനിയിലേക്ക് ഭാവി ജീവിത മാർഗ്ഗത്തിനു തൊഴിൽതേടിയുള്ള കുടിയേറ്റമുണ്ടായി. അതിനുമുമ്പ് മറ്റൊരു രാജ്യത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പെൺകുട്ടികളുടെ കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങ ളുടെ ചരിത്രം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. ഇത് തന്നെ ചരിത്രപരമായ അത്ഭുത യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമാണ്. കേരളത്തിൽ പൊതുസാമ്പത്തിക- തൊഴിൽ മേഖലകൾ തകർന്നടിഞ്ഞ ഒരു കാലത്തു കേരളത്തിലെ അനേകം കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് പെൺകുട്ടികൾ നെടുംതൂണുകളായി അന്നവർ  നിലകൊണ്ടത്, ജന്മ നാടിനെയും നാട്ടാരെയും തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം മാതാപിതാക്കളെയും വരെ വിട്ടുമാറി അന്യ ദേശവും ഭാഷയും നോക്കാതെയുള്ള പ്രവാസ സാഹസ ജീവിതം അവർ അനുഭവിച്ചത് കൊണ്ടു മാത്രമായിരുന്നു. ഓരോ തലമുറകളുടെ വിടവുകളും അകലവും നോക്കാതെ സ്വന്തം സംസ്കാരവും ജീവിതരീതിയും തങ്ങളുടെ മാതൃരാജ്യത്തിന്റേതാക്കി ഭാവി സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു തൊഴിൽ ചെയ്തു ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ആ തലമുറയുടെ കഥകൾ ആര് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നു? അവരാണ്, ഇപ്പോൾ സ്വന്തം മാതൃ നാടിന്റെ ഭരണകർത്താക്കളാൽ എന്നും പ്രവാസിമലയാളികൾ എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടു സ്വന്തം നാട്ടിൽ, പിറന്നുവീണ മണ്ണിന്റെ അർഹതപ്പെട്ടതായ യാതൊരു അവകാശങ്ങളൊന്നും  ലഭിക്കാത്ത വെറും അപരിചിതരായ ചില സന്ദർശകരാക്കി മാറ്റപ്പെട്ടത്. ഇവർ സ്വന്തം മാതൃനാട്ടിലെത്തുമ്പോൾ ഓരോ പരിചിതർപോലും ആദ്യം ചോദിക്കുന്നത്," എന്ന് വന്നു?, ഇനി എന്ന് എപ്പോൾ തിരിച്ചു പോകും? ഹൃദയം തകരുന്ന ചോദ്യശരങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങുന്ന ഇവർ പ്രവാസികളായി തരംതാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ട അപരിചിതരായ ഒരുകൂട്ടം പ്രവാസികൾ! ഓരോ ഭാരതീയനും പ്രവാസിയായതിലൂടെ അവരുടെ മാതൃരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ അവകാശങ്ങൾ നിഷേധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. പൗരത്വമില്ല, വോട്ടവകാശമില്ല. അത് പക്ഷേ രാജ്യദ്രോഹികളായി ഇന്ത്യയുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ഭരണതലത്തിലിരുന്നു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് എല്ലാവിധ അവകാശങ്ങളും ആസ്വദിക്കാം.

 യേശുവും മാതാവും യൗസേപ്പ്പിതാവും 

ഈജിപ്തിലേക്ക് പാലായനം ചെയ്യുന്നു  

നിലവിലുള്ള സാമൂഹികവും നവ രാഷ്ട്രീയ സംവിധാനങ്ങൾക്കും, രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ ഭരണഘടനയ്ക്കും, ജനങ്ങളുടെ മൗലീകാവകാശ നിബന്ധനകൾക്കും, ഭരണഘടന അടിസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തിയുള്ള ഉറപ്പും അവയുടെ നിയമപരമായ സംവിധാനത്തിനും   അതാത് കാലത്തിനനുസരണമായ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടത് അനിവാര്യമാണ്. പക്ഷെ യേശുവിന്റെ ജനന കാലം. അക്കാലത്തെ അതിക്രൂരനായ ചക്രവർത്തി       ഹേറോദേസിന്റെ
ഭരണകാലത്ത് യേശുവിന്റെ ജീവൻ അപകടപ്പെടുമെന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ യൗസേപ്പ് പിതാവും മാതാവും നസ്റത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഈജിപ്തിലേക്ക് ഒളിച്ചോടി പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു. യാത്രയ്ക്ക് വിമാന സൗകര്യമോ കപ്പലുകളോ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. യൗവുസേപ്പ് പിതാവ് ഈജിപ്ത് വരെ  നടന്നും, മാതാവും ഈശോയും ഒരു കഴുതപ്പുറത്ത് ഇരുന്നുമാണ് പാലായനം ചെയ്തതെന്ന് ബൈബിൾ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. പക്ഷെ മൂന്നര വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം വീണ്ടും നസ്‌റത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചെത്തി. ഇത്  ബൈബിളിൽ നാം വായിക്കുന്നു. മറ്റൊന്ന്, പഴയനിയമത്തിൽ മോശയുടെ ജീവിതം, ഇസ്രായേൽ ജനങ്ങളുടെ യാതനകളും, മോശയുടെ പത്തു പ്രമാണങ്ങളുടെ ഉറവിടത്തിന് പ്രേരകകാരണങ്ങളും അവയെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള കഥയും  പാലായനങ്ങളുടെ ഓരോ കഥകളും നാം വായിക്കുന്നു. കാലങ്ങളുടെ തികവിൽ ഇസ്രായേലികളെല്ലാം വീണ്ടും മാതൃരാജ്യത്ത് വന്നുചേർന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധ ചരിത്രവും നാം  വായിക്കുന്നു.

രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധത്തിൽ നാടുവിട്ടോടിയവർ വീണ്ടും ജർമനിയിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തി. അവരുടെ മാതൃഭൂമി അവരെ പ്രവാസികളായി കണ്ടിരുന്നില്ല. പാലായനങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രധാനമായ കാരണങ്ങൾ ഭരണാധികാരികളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അവഗണനകളും അടിച്ചമർത്തലുകളും അതുമൂലം ജനങ്ങളിൽ ഭാവിയുടെ ഭീഷണി നേരിട്ടതിനാലുമാണ്. ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി ജനപ്രതിനിധി ആയവർ ജനങ്ങളെയല്ല, സ്വന്തം കാര്യങ്ങൾക്കായി മാത്രം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്ന ഭീകര അനുഭവങ്ങളാണ് എക്കാലവും അവരിൽനിന്നും ഇന്നും നാം കാണുന്നത്. ജനാധിപത്യ കേരളത്തിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയപാർട്ടികളുടെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ജനപ്രതിനിധികൾ ഇപ്രകാരമുള്ള ജനവിരുദ്ധനടപടികൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ പ്രമുഖരാണ്.

കേരളത്തിൽനിന്നും മറുനാടുകളിൽ കുടിയേറി ജോലിചെയ്തവർ ഭാവിയിൽ സ്വന്തനാട്ടിൽ വന്നു ജീവിക്കണമെന്ന് വിചാരിച്ചു പണം മിച്ചംവരുത്തിയിട്ട് അവരുടെ ജന്മനാട്ടിൽ നിക്ഷേപിച്ചു. പക്ഷെ അതിന്റെ പ്രയോജനം ലഭിച്ചത് സഹോദരങ്ങൾക്കും ബന്ധുക്കൾക്കും ആയിരുന്നു. പ്രവാസി മലയാളികൾ സമ്പാദിച്ച സ്വത്തുക്കൾ അനുഭവിക്കാൻ യോഗമില്ലാത്തവർ അനവധിയാണ്. അവർ അറിയാതെ സ്വത്തുക്കൾ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ പേരിലായിപ്പോയ അനവധി കേസ്സുകൾ കോടതികളിൽ ഉണ്ട്. ഇങ്ങനെ മറുനാട്ടിൽ കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് ജീവിച്ച ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ ജീവിതപ്രതീക്ഷകൾ ഇപ്രകാരം തകർക്കപ്പെടുകയാണ്. ഇത് മലയാളികളുടെ മനഃസാക്ഷിയുടെ തകർച്ചയുടെ വലിയ ഉദാഹരണമാണ്. ഇത്തരം തിക്താനുഭവങ്ങൾ മൂലം കേരളത്തിലെ ജീവിതത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന നിരാശരായ പ്രവാസിമലയാളികൾ ജോലിസംബന്ധമായിട്ട് കുടിയേറിയ ആ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ തുടന്നും ജീവിക്കാൻ പ്രേരിതമായിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

വിവിധ കാരണങ്ങളാൽ മാതൃരാജ്യത്തുനിന്നും സ്വജനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുമെല്ലാം വിട്ടുമാറി അന്യനാടുകളിലേക്ക് ചിതറിപ്പോയ ജനതകളുടെ കൂടിച്ചേരൽ അനിവാര്യമാണെന്നും ശരിയാണെന്നും ഈ അനുഭവങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു ശരിവയ്ക്കുന്നു. അതുപക്ഷേ, സ്വതന്ത്ര ഇന്ത്യയെന്നും ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ജനാധിപത്യരാജ്യമാണെന്നും സ്വയം പുകഴ്ത്തുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്നും ഭാവിജീവിതം ഭദ്രമാക്കാൻ പുറത്തുപോയിയെന്ന ഒറ്റക്കാരണത്താൽ അവർ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഭരണകർത്താക്കളുടെ കണ്ണിൽ അന്യരായിത്തീർന്നു. പ്രവാസികൾ എന്ന അവഹേളനയുടെ പദവി അവർക്ക് ലഭിച്ചു. അവർ വീണ്ടും തിരിച്ചു മാതൃരാജ്യത്തുവന്നാലും ഇന്ത്യൻപൗരനുള്ള അവകാശങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഒഴുകിയിറങ്ങിപ്പോയ കടൽത്തിരകൾ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയ തീരങ്ങളെത്തേടി വീണ്ടും വന്നു ആലിംഗനം ചെയ്യുമെന്നത് പ്രകൃതിനിയമം തന്നെയാണല്ലോ. പക്ഷെ, പ്രവാസികളായിത്തീർന്നവരുടെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ തകർക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അവർ വീണ്ടും മാതൃരാജ്യത്തേയ്ക്ക് വന്നു ജീവിക്കുവാൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരനായി ജനിച്ച തങ്ങൾക്ക് അർഹതയുള്ള ലഭിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന അംഗീകാരവും മാനുഷിക അവകാശങ്ങളും ഇന്നല്ലെങ്കിൽ നാളെയോ ആകട്ടെ തിരിച്ചെത്തുമ്പോൾ മാനുഷികമായി എന്തിനു അവർക്ക് വിലക്കപ്പെടണം.? ലോകം മുഴുവൻ മാതൃകയായിട്ട് ജീവിക്കുന്ന സ്വതന്ത്ര ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിപുരുഷന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക്, ജനിച്ചനാട്ടിൽ- അതെ-അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത വെറും പ്രവാസി മലയാളികളായി മുദ്രകുത്തിയിട്ട് അതെ, പ്രവാസിഭാരതീയർ എന്ന പേരുള്ളവരാക്കി മാറ്റിയത് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികളുടെ പ്രവർത്തകരാണ്, ഭരണകർത്താക്കളാണ്. !! //-
